Lessons from the Cheshire Cat

Alice: Where does this road lead to?
Cat: Where do you want to go?
Alice: I don’t know.
Cat: If you don't know where you want to go, then it doesn't matter which road you take

True indeed. And if you're aware that any road travel doesn't really matter... it makes the journey and adventure, an interesting one.

But knowing where to go and how to go there with all the unexpected events along the way, is already interesting... then why take the dark and weary path?

I just had a thought:

I think Alice knew where she wanted to go... she wanted to go home. But when she ask the cat and was answered with a question... she might have jsut said i don't know.

What alice should have asked int he first place was "does this road lead to home?" Then the cat might have given here the answer.

I am not sure if it will relate to this... but when someone ask us a question, it's only polite to answer them first before asking them in return.

If you were asked and don't want to answer, the best thing to answer is "why do you want to know?" then smile :-D

Alice should have answered, if only the roads give signs as to where it leads, then I don't have to be lost.

@Ewik: Actually, this is for those who still cannot find the career that they want to be in. ehem ehem.

@TGM and Phi Jon: There's a bit difference between the wizard of Oz and Alice in Wodnerland.

In Wizard of Oz, she was actually wanting to go home. Alice on the other hand (original story) wanted to find some adventures and just find the bunny, not much to find home. (Dunno if im actually right)

@TGM: toxic mo ha

@Phi Jon: Most roads in our lives doesn't have signs as to where they lead to.

Sometimes, we may not know where we want to go, but we know where we DON'T want to go.

We may not know what we want, but we know what we DON'T want.
